Grocery stores at the mall? That's right, we have Countdown and Woolsworth, not one, but two full-sized grocery stores located in prime real estate at the mall, exactly where you would expect to enter a Dillard's or JC Penney's. Let me tell you what is weird: pushing a cart, or trolley, full of groceries through the food court, past the jewelry/belt/sunglass/cellphone kiosks, on over to The Gap where you might desire to try on a shirt while your ice cream melts. Actually they don't have The Gap, only stores I've never heard of before, but you get my drift.
Another example of stangeness, our little Mitsubishi Eterna Sava, which we are pretty sure is a Galant, has a trailer hitch. I thought this was wonderfully unique and would add value when we sell it later, until we noticed that almost all cars here have a trailer hitch. Seems to me that engine size and torque are highly overrated. I mean, please take a moment to envision the boys from Spanish Fork pulling their 4-wheelers around with a Geo Metro or the like. Should we desire to be in the Christmas parade, Archie could dress up as Santa and drive and I could be an elf in the trailer throwing out Christmas crackers (not crackers as in biscuits or white folks, but as in the poppers that have a toy inside that Americans have been deprived of.) No need for a float or truck. It's a nice throw back to my childhood when my dad would haul us kids around the field in the trailer behind the riding lawn mower in Mississippi. Gotta love it.

All of that sounds wonderful. A grocery store in the mall! Wow. What are American's thinking they really need to get on the boat with that one. And now I'm laughing just envisioning you and Archie parading around as Santa and Santa's elf. It works! I think Archie may have to grow some hair first though.
There seems to be few things in life the Kiwis don't have. I think that a teeny car pulling a trailer sounds a bit on the pikey side of things, if you know what I mean.
I really like your Christmas tree, Shelly. She's a real beaut. You must love that beach dearly, with all the treasures you've found so far.
I, too, would love a grocery store in the mall. I love the "supercenters". When you don't have time to go to 50 different places, it's nice to do all your shopping at once! what a genius idea!
Yeah, it's cool to get all your shopping done in one trip, but it kinda sucks to have to fight the crowds if all you need is a pack of smokes.
Smokes??? I seriously haven't laughed so hard in weeks. You also have to realize that we here in Oklahoma have not seen the sun for 7 going on 8 days now. It has been fiercely foggy, then rainy, then ice rain, cloudy, cloudy and now rain again. Ugg. I am easily entertained at this point. I love Shelley. She is a dream. I hope you are enjoying your six month vacation. Get a tan for me. I love you guys.
